Dancing with the Stars Melissa Rycroft, would not be dancing due to an injury

In a dramatic opening to Monday night’s "Dancing with the Stars," it was announced that one of the leading competitors, Melissa Rycroft, would not be dancing due to an injury, and, to throw another variable into the mix, for the first time this season, every couple was scheduled to dance twice -- once with only their partner, and then a second time in a "team dance" with two other couples.

Eight weeks in and Dancing With the Stars is down to five...Wait, that can't be right!

Unfortunately, only five performed tonight because late-preseason addition Melissa Rycroft of Bachelor and now ballroom fame had to sit out Monday—which also featured the first team dance—after hurting herself during practice.
